Texas Trip - Chapter 3 - Tower of the Americas

On to the towers! The Tower of the Americas is near the Riverwalk and the Convention Center. It was built for the World's Fair Hemisfair and is 750 feet tall. There is an observation deck at the top, along with a restaurant. Although we didn't go up to the top, we did enjoy the grounds around the Tower. They are breathtaking - filled with waterfalls, fountains, bridges, and flowers. What a lovely place!

Oops... Dad didn't mean "get closer" to each other - he meant "get closer" to me so I can get the whole tower in the picture with you guys! Good thing, because there's pretty much no more room between us! =) I'm sure there are times he wonders how his 'Sweetie Pie' ever earned the 'J.D.' part...

On top of one of the falls in the monsterous water garden. Dad wanted us to pose in this house, and tell our family and friends at hom that this is where my parents live. What gave it away that it's not really their house? Not the missing doors and windows, surely? Or the fact that this house is probably 1/10th the size of our house, which isn't exactly monumental...

This is much more believable that it could be their house, right? Aside from the fact that they have a window unit A/C, and in Texas, that'd just be crazy to not have central air!!
