Mail Excitement!

Husband got a pick-me-up care package in the mail today, and it couldn't have come at a better time! He got all kinds of goodies that he's sure to enjoy on the afternoons that seem to drag on and on while he's so limited! There was, of course, a whistle in there so he can call to me wherever in the house I might be so I can meet his every need! There were all kinds of little games from when we were little - get all the little balls in the holes, get the ball on the string in the cup, etc. He got stickers and a fun icepack (which might encourage him to actually use it!) that brought a smile to his face. There were some sweet goodies, one package of which has already brought him some tasty benefit. He got Monopoly - the new version with updated placeholders and landmarks. We can't wait to play that tonight and he's already called the Starbuck's cup as his placeholder. He got Soduku books, and the best part of all (according to him, that is) - a HARMONICA!! I'm hoping I walk into the house tonight to my husband serenading me on it, and he's gotten all of his practicing and learning out of the way while I was at work! =) Thanks, Mom & Dad, for the fun package - it was perfect! After opening the package Husband made some of the Starbucks Christmas Blend coffee he got for Christmas - it made the whole house smell so good, and it tastes great, too! Between the package, the coffee, and the snow we've gotten, Husband couldn't be in a better mood given the circumstances! (He has been wanting snow, a blizzard actually, so he has a reason to be all cooped up and snuggled down in the house!) Tonight we're going to have homemade pizza and play monopoly. Then it's only one more day to the weekend with Chili and watching the long version of Stephen King's "The Shining" which was filmed at the Stanley where we honeymooned!!
