We did lots of celebrating - and eating! - for our tw0-month-iversary!! First, we went to Cheyenne, WY, and enjoyed a scrumptious meal at Olive Garden - including a Pumpkin Cheesecake that was just fantastic. We had our engagement celebration dinner at Olive Garden so it was only appropriate that we celebrate the event that our engagement led to - our marriage - at the same place! We went to the stores we had gift cards for, and had fun shopping for things to fill our new home together. We got the best sheets in the world - microfiber fleece - an absolute MUST if you live where it's cold. They are so soft and snugly and the absolute perfect thing to wrap up in after a long, cold day. We also got a home-made beer brewing kit to try out a new hobby. We haven't had a chance to try it yet, but we're looking forward to seeing if our family could be the next big brew-master family... Watch out Anheiser-Busch! We also stopped at Hobby Lobby so I could get some "ingredients" for Christmas presents. Of course, Husband found the police Christmas ornaments right away and wanted to buy them all - not a bad thing, since our tree is pretty much all police themed. However, doesn't he realize that right before Christmas you aren't supposed to buy things for yourself, because people might have already purchased them for you?!? After some quick (and not-so-creative) thinking on my part, I convinced him to put most of them back, and we came away with only one duplicate! (I had to concede something, or the gig would have been up!)
Later we were able to make a trip to Sterling, CO to eat some Delgados! We frequented Delgados back in the dating days, so it's fun to go back and reminisce about those times.
With two months down, we've had our first holiday together - Thanksgiving - and are looking forward to our first Christmas as a married couple! These last two months have been the best of my life, and HC makes me happier every day than the day before!!
