UPDATE: Husband was FINALLY done with his 18 hour day around 1:30!! WOW. What a trooper. (Or not a trooper, hee hee hee) He said if the cocaine comes back from the lab testing positive (again, might not because of the quality of the stuff), the case will go federal - it's that huge of a case!!!! Any proceedings would be in Omaha, and he'd have to testify there if there were any hearings where his testimony was needed. How exciting. And it's all because he has a good reputation with people!! So, huge kudos to my sleepy, hungry, drained husband!!!

Super Cop!!
Husband had (is having!) a BUSY night on his Friday night! I got a call around 3:30 that he had just gotten done with a big bust!! The reporting parties called in and insisted on talking to ONLY him. So, he gets all the proper permission to search the apartment, and then gets even more permission/consent to search to cover all his bases. He found a LOT of methamphetamine as well as lots of cocaine (which is probably a lower quality and most likely being used as a cutting agent to increase the amount of drugs which are sold - kinda like adding powdered sugar to increase the volume; it increases the quantity but decreases the quality of the drug), as well as some marijuana and a lot of distribution supplies and paraphernalia. He did a great job!! I'm so proud of him. He did say there were reports of the suspect having a gun, and of course he decided to not wear his vest again last night, so maybe this can be another lesson for him to keep that vest on - naughty, stubborn boy!! =) They are currently executing a search warrant for the suspect's vehicle. I had to come to work this morning to see my husband because he hasn't been home yet! It's going to be a long day for him, but well worth it, I think! Oh yeah - the guy has recently upped his sales of meth because he's trying to raise bond money to get his dad out of jail. His dad was booked in this weekend for concealed weapon and, you'll never guess, possession of meth!!! Ha. Oh Cheyenne County.... Good thing the city has such fine officers!!
